Venture Catalysts ++ Demo Day spotlights 12 startups targeting $46M raise

by Incbusiness Team

Venture Catalysts++, India’s first multi-stage VC firm, is set to spotlight 12 curated startups at its Demo Day 7, bringing together companies across deeptech, AI, aerospace, climate tech, sustainability, defense, and consumer brands. Collectively, the cohort is targeting a raise of $46 million (approximately Rs 380 crore) from global investors and family offices, with nearly $20 million already committed, signalling early investor confidence in the participating startups.

The virtual-only Demo Day will be held on May 29, 2026. Registrations are open for select investors, family offices, and institutional participants seeking early access to one of India’s most curated private-market startup portfolios.

As India’s innovation landscape shifts toward strategic and infrastructure-led sectors, a new generation of venture-backed companies is emerging beyond traditional models. This aligns with the Indian government’s growing emphasis on self-reliance, energy transition, and indigenous technological capability.

Against this backdrop, Demo Day 7 will highlight opportunities across sustainability, particularly biodegradable plastics and plastic alternatives, as well as deeptech and AI, including deeptech infrastructure, healthtech, aerospace, and defense. The event will also showcase select supply chain and logistics companies building disruptive operating models.

“We believe the next generation of venture-scale companies will emerge from sectors solving hard, strategic problems across climate, defense, energy, deeptech infrastructure, and industrial technology,” said Dr Apoorva Ranjan Sharma, Founder and Managing Director of Venture Catalysts ++. “Demo Day 7 reflects that thesis by bringing together founders building long-term, defensible businesses rather than chasing short-term market cycles.”

Venture Catalysts++ noted that earlier editions of Demo Day have attracted more than 700 venture firms and family offices across 18 countries, with every startup in recent editions receiving investor interest. Across previous editions, the platform has supported over 130 startups that have collectively raised more than $400 million, backed by a network of over 1,500 investors.

This edition introduces a more rigorous selection process, including multiple rounds of screening, institutional diligence, investor matchmaking, and founder coaching led by a dedicated internal team.

With a portfolio of more than 300 startups in its portfolio, Venture Catalysts++ uses the Demo Day platform to bridge high-potential founders with long-term institutional capital, enabling early access to differentiated deal flow while accelerating the growth of India’s next generation of venture-backed companies across strategic and emerging sectors.
