Burger Singh raises Rs 82 Cr in Series B funding to scale franchise platform

Quick-service restaurant chain Burger Singh has raised Rs 82 crore in a Series B funding round. The investment was led by Artal Asia Pte Ltd, with participation from both existing and new investors, including Negen Undiscovered Value Fund, and Aurum Rising India Fund.

This brings the company's valuation to Rs 520 crore, said Burger Singh.

The company plans to use the capital to build a scalable, franchise-first restaurant growth platform by upgrading its supply chain, technology, training systems, and operational infrastructure.

Unlike much of India's quick-service restaurant expansion, which has historically relied on company-owned networks or master franchise agreements, Burger Singh intends to focus on supporting local entrepreneurs.

“India has no shortage of entrepreneurs. What it lacks is enough high-quality operating platforms that allow those entrepreneurs to succeed in the restaurant business at scale. That is the gap we are solving," said Kabir Jeet Singh, Founder and CEO of Burger Singh, in a press note.

Burger Singh is striving to build a franchise-first machine with the systems, supply chain, design standards, training, and operating discipline required to make store ownership more structured and more repeatable.

"We are not just opening outlets; we are building the platform Indian entrepreneurs can plug into to create successful restaurant businesses," said Singh.

Founded in 2014, the homegrown burger chain currently operates more than 200 outlets across over 100 cities. Burger Singh reported a revenue of Rs 117 crore for the 2024-25 financial year. It attributes its growth to its ongoing expansion in metropolitan and emerging markets, localised menu, and accessible pricing strategy.
