Financial services platform Aikyam Capital Group on Wednesday raised Rs 205 crore to mark the first close of its private credit fund.

The fund, which is structured under Aikyam Capital Trust, has a target corpus of Rs 300 crore with a green shoe option of Rs 100 crore, taking the total fund size to Rs 400 crore.

The fund will be positioned as a private credit strategy and will provide structured capital to businesses and deliver risk adjusted returns for investors, the company said.

This also marks the firm’s second fund launched within a year, following the launch of its Category I Special Situation Fund (SSF). This meant that the fund invested in stressed assets such as distressed loans, securities of companies under restructuring, or, in insolvency, to help turnaround these firms.
